Infrastructure100 is back and this year we are pleased to present the World Cities Edition.

Why World Cities?

With more than half of all humanity condensed in an area just over two percent of the planet’s land cover, urban infrastructure has become one of the world’s greatest challenges.  As mankind makes a mad dash for the city, demands on urban infrastructure continue to reach unprecedented levels. Existing urban infrastructure is in urgent need of revitalization, and demands for new infrastructure have skyrocketed to meet the basic needs of growing populations.

Infrastructure100: World Cities Edition

The aim of this publication is to showcase and celebrate one hundred examples of great projects underway in cities around the world.  We hope that the Infrastructure100: World Cities Edition will make industry professionals proud of the work they do and, for those less familiar with the world of infrastructure, it will inform and inspire.

While this is not an “awards” publication, we have partnered with a distinguished group of judges who will help select 100 projects from the many hundreds that will be nominated.  These judges will also debate which projects to showcase for each sector in the final publication.

We look forward to this fascinating process and encourage you to join us in celebrating the infrastructure projects that make great cities.
